Blackthorn Navy

Designed in 1892, Blackthorn was originally block-printed and features white blackthorn (or sloe) blossom and violets with meadow flowers of red snakes head fritillaries and yellow daisies. The flowers bloom from a lattice of curling foliage, leaves, and stems in this iconic Morris pattern. Typical of Morris’ work, Blackthorn is a celebration of the beauty of nature. Blackthorn Navy presents subtle pops of colour, featuring creamy yellows, rosy reds and blush pinks, alongside a sea of multi-tonal blues, all laid upon a dark navy background.
